Gergő Kolesza is an expert of the Sectoral Economic Research Department of the AKI Agricultural Economy Directorate since 2024. His main field of expertise is plant protection, in which he has several years of international experience. From 2012, he worked as an agricultural consultant in the USA and England, and from 2017 he carried out research work in the field of plant pathology in Brazil. His main focus is on arable crop production and related professional cooperation in the transformation of sectoral and plant data collection systems, the creation of databases and their evaluation. He also contributes to the preparation of professional analyzes that support policy decision-making and the work of professional organizations. He obtained his degree in agricultural economics at Szent István University in Gödöllő, and later continued his studies at a master’s course in plant pathology at the Federal University of Viçosa (UFV) in Brazil.
