The Farm Accountancy Data Network (FADN) observes the assets-, financial- and income-based situations of agricultural holdings from year to year on a representative sample of 2100 farms. The system is compulsory for the EU Member States and voluntary for the farmers. Besides farm-level accountancy and production data, enterprise-level data from the production costs of different agricultural products is an important part of Hungarian FADN. Data is mostly used for planning and analysis of agricultural policy measures.
