Project summary

The Soil-X-Change project aims to bring together farmers, actors, policy makers, EIP operational groups and initiatives involved in sustainable soil and farm management to accelerate innovation, knowledge exchange and knowledge transfer. Soil-X-Change will share innovative good practices on sustainable soil management with 13 partners in 9 member countries and will expand the knowledge transfer network to include further international good practices and stakeholders over the 3 years. The project builds on 5 Hungarian EIP Operational Groups (OG) and 13 additional OG in Austria, Slovenia, Slovakia, Poland, Spain, Bulgaria and Germany.

The project will contribute to the CAP Specific Objectives, supporting the green transition, efficient use of inputs and the dissemination of good practices promoting soil health, thus contributing to the resilience of farms, in line with the challenges of the future. In terms of methodology, the project will collect, harmonise, analyse and integrate the results developed by the different EIP Operational Groups and disseminate them to the different target groups through workshops, farm visits and various communication channels.

By the end of the project, the knowledge and innovative results of all relevant operational groups will be presented in an international context and to a wider audience of stakeholders within the network in EU countries.

On the Hungarian side, Innomine (the coordinator) and the Institute of Agricultural Economics will be accompanied by the Discovery Center, the coordinator of several successful national EIP operational groups relevant to the topic.
