Description

The national emission inventories are annual reports submitted to the United Nations and the European Union. These reports document the pollutants released into the atmosphere and their sources in each country. The primary objective of the inventories is to provide a comprehensive and accurate overview of emissions, serving as a basis for the environmental policy development, climate change mitigation planning and the monitoring of emission reduction commitments.

The Institute of Agricultural Economics (AKI) is responsible for compiling the agricultural section of the national inventories of air pollutants and greenhouse gases. In addition, AKI provides professional and scientific support for the tracking and the analysis of emissions from the agricultural and land use sectors.
