The EU-FarmBook Ambassadors Reflection and Refinement workshop was held on 9-12 April 2024 in Teagasc Ashtown Food Research Centre close to Dublin, in which our colleague Szabolcs Vágó participated. He is the nominated Ambassador (AMB) of the EU-wide knowledge Platform for Hungary, Czech Republic and Slovakia.
The EU-FarmBook Platform is being developed in the frame of a Horizon Europe project, and its mission is to provide the answer to real needs of farmers, foresters and advisors. The project offers an interactive, multi-lingual meeting place for agriculture and forestry communities, giving access to trustworthy knowledge objects.
The main objectives of the workshop was to develop value propositions to engage with contributors and potential users, to share experiences of promoting and supporting uploading, to explore AMB engagement with EIP-AGRI Operational Groups and of course to further develop connections between the AMBs and build the AMB community. The participants had possibility to meet Irish Operational Groups as well.
After the Pre-Launch event, which was organised mainly for coordinators and participants of Horizon Europe projects on the 8Th of February 2024, the Platform has been started to be filled with high quality practice-oriented materials. After the public launch which is planned for the summer of 2025 it will be fully operational and ready to be used by practitioners all around Europe.
