The first series of VISIONARY science policy interfaces (SPI) has been launched. Multiple participatory forums will be established in the upcoming weeks to spark interactions, co-learning and capacity building between researchers and stakeholders. Each SPI will be centred on a significant sustainability transition from a food system perspective.
Our first SPI developed a vision for the future of the organic value chain in Hungary with the participation of a diverse group of stakeholders. It is already evident from our preliminary findings that allowing value chain actors to exchange knowledge and experience leads to very exciting outcomes. AKI researchers have been given some valuable thoughts on how to move forward in their case study research on the upscaling potential of the Hungarian organic value chain.
