A magyarországi vágóhidakon 39,8 ezer darab szarvasmarhát vágtak le 2024 első fél évében, 10,4 százalékkal kevesebbet, mint az előző év azonos időszakában, sertésből 2 millió 335 ezret vágtak, 6,9 százalékkal többet (+151 ezer darab), mint 2023 január–júniusban. Baromfiból 118,5 millió darabot vágtak 2024 első fél évében, 11,9 százalékkal többet, mint a bázisidőszakban. A levágott baromfi élősúlya összesen 364,9 ezer tonna, vágott súlya (tisztított, bontott súly) 273,7 ezer tonna volt ebben az időszakban.
In Hungarian slaughterhouses 39.8 thousand cattle were slaughtered in the first half of 2024, which is 10.4 per cent less than in the same period of the previous year, and 2 million 335 thousand pigs were slaughtered, 6.9 per cent more (+151 thousand heads) compared to the January–June 2023. In the group of poultry 118.5 million pieces were slaughtered in the first half of 2024, 11.9 per cent more than in the base period. The total live weight of slaughtered poultry was 364.9 thousand tons, and the carcass weight was 273.7 thousand tons during this period.
